Classical Music. Dead, or not?

I am sitting here in the dining room, listening to Mozart's "Serenade in D Major" and the question just occured to me; it classical music dead, or is it still feebly holding on to life in the day and age of rap and rock.
I think that it still is, though many people beg to differ. But many people who like classicacl music also like other music. Not all, but most. I like rock, jazz, pop, and all the other kinds out there, but sometimes, it is nice to whip out the Mozart and Bach and take a break from all the heavy drums and guitar solos.
Many teenagers think that classical music is boring, but the only reason that they think that is because adults have been telling them that classical music is "serious" or "good" music, and that the should give up the "bad" music, or the music that encourages rough behavior and sets a "bad" example.
But the truth is, rock and rap really isn't bad and classical is "good" as some people claim. Some jazz and rock songs are very good. But the vision people sometimes tend to have is that none of it is good. And classical music is still alive. We just don't know where to look for it. And teenagers have heard many classical songs. Just not on CD's or classical radio stations.

Take a look at the choices in you cell phone for ringtones. If you listen to every one of them, you will find modern versions or techno versions of classical songs that teenagers like or may even have one of those ringtones. And I bet if they found out that it was classical music. I play the piano and have played things for neighbors. They have later said, 'I didn't know that that peice was classical music.' And I have shocked them by telling them that it truely is.

So, technically, classical music isn't dead, it is simpley hiding behind techno recordings and dance versions.
