A Tribute to 9/11

Can you believe that it had been 5 years since the trade centers fell. What were you doing when it happened?
Since I was homeschooled for middle school, I watched the whole event on television, before going on a field trip to a botanical park. I also remember running into my parents room and waking up my Dad, and telling him that they thought a terrorist attack had happened. And I remember him bolting out of bed.
My Spanish I teacher made an interesting comment today. He said that when he was our age, the space shuttle had blown up; the one with the teacher on board. However, he said, there is no special anniversery for that, no broadcasts or special rememberences. The shuttle explosian, he said, was the one thing he would always would be able to say was the event he was alive to see. Then, he said, we would always be able to say that we were 11 years old when 9/11 happened. It was interesting.
Another thing, I feel really stupid. I have found a group of people who I sit with at lunch, but they are all wayyyyy to serious for me. It's like, 'Come on, loosen up just a little bit!' Why the heck do they have to be so freakin' uptight???
Anyway, I have to go now. But do me a favor. One of my good friends is in Iraq, fighting for this country right now. Now, on the anniversery of September, 11, 2001, say a little prayer for him. Please.
And a prayer for all the victims and all the victims family and friends of 9/11
